Although in the early 1990’s African countries opened to the ideas of multipartism and civil liberties, authoritarian regimes have persisted and remained a part of African political culture. However, today’s African youth, including the diaspora, is more committed than ever to changing the narratives. Thus, Africans residing in the United States, believed that it is necessary to set up a permanent, viable and lasting structure of reflection, consultation, and communication for the promotion of universal democratic values in Africa.

The idea quickly drew the attention and interest of young people from various African countries residing in the United States. Therefore, after consultation and aware of the need to set up a permanent framework that contributes to the socio-economic development of African countries, it is created in the state of Indiana a non-profit organization that is secular and of public interest called DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS FOR AFRICA Corp. In its mission, DHR Africa aims to advocate, inform, advise, guide, coach, assist and support on issues related to good governance, social justice, economic parity, quality education and equal rights in African countries.

ALL PROFITS WILL GO TOWARDS PROJECT FUNDING AND OPERATIONS.
